DOUG ATKINS

I was born and raised in Northampton, PA (the home of cement, county fairs, and the Jack Frost Parade). I was raised alongside one older sister by two of the most hard-working, ambitious parents in the Mid-Atlantic region.  I first discovered my love of acting in second grade at Roosevelt Elementary School and continued my studies at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts.

 

I was accepted at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where I declared a major in Musical Theatre. During my time there, I learned (among many other things) the responsibilities tied to being an actor in life and work. After my four years in college, I joined the Equity Membership Candidacy program, and subsequently joined the Union a year later.

 

In 2014, I chose to leave the comforts of Pennsylvania and head south. I currently live in Houston, TX!

 

 

Aside from theater, I enjoy spending time with my Basenji/Border Collie puppy, working out, yoga, and learning new and exciting recipes to cook!
